The main images used in this layout were originally taken from Wikipedia
Commons and were all either public domain images or were
released under a license (such as Creative Commons 2.0) which frees them for other people to use. The background textures are by deviantART-iconistas and Ubuntu Linux, which is open-source and free.
This is the layout I use for my art site, Silver Wings. Notice that the background images for the links in the bar above the bodytext change when hovered over or visited. I made this effect using CSS and changing the background attribute for div#bar1 a.
